As a leading provider of property management and construction services we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and professionalism to deliver exceptional customer services across the hospitality, healthcare and publican sectors.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experience Estimator Manager to lead and manage our Estimating team, based at our Head Office in Fareham.

Role Summary



The estimator manager will be responsible for managing the full estimating function for the business. You will lead a team of estimators, ensure an organised, efficient estimating process and provide high-quality, accurate tenders. You will work closely with the directors, teams across the business as well as our customers, to support the companies growth ambitions and to ensure commercial success across all opportunities. There will also be the requirement to complete your own cost elements for projects up to 250k.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for various projects. Lead and manage the Estimating team, including allocation of workloads, oversight of individual tenders, and team development. Implement cost control measures to monitor project expenses and identify potential savings. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on project scopes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labour rates to inform estimating practices. Prepare detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of costs and justifications for pricing decisions. Train and mentor junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Experience



Proven experience of managing a team is desirable. A dynamic individual, with excellent leadership, team management and mentoring skills. Strong understanding of cost control principles and methodologies, familiarity with BCIS and/or SPONS pricing would be required. Previous experience of CAFM platforms and customer portals. Proficiency in estimation software and tools is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Strong Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel. Methodical and organised approach to work. Ability to manage deadlines and priorities workload
As a fast moving and growing business, there will be a need to continuously review key responsibilities and accountabilities whilst embracing ad-hoc tasks outside the core remit when required

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
