Groundworks Estimator - Leading RC Frame & Groundworks Contractor

Location:

Hatfield (Head Office based)

Salary:

Up to 90,000 (depending on experience)

Ridgeway & Co are partnered with a well-established RC Frame & Groundworks subcontractor, currently seeking a skilled Estimator to join their commercial team at their Hatfield head office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most respected names in the groundworks sector, supporting tenders on a wide range of residential and commercial schemes across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing of groundworks and RC frame packages ranging from 1m to 25m Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities Preparing accurate take-offs and cost plans Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams to develop tender strategies Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Supporting bid submissions and post-tender negotiations

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator with a groundworks subcontractor Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, concrete structures, drainage, and external works Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Based within commuting distance to Hatfield, or willing to travel
