About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced and results-driven Solar Estimator to take full ownership of the tendering process, managing each opportunity from enquiry right through to securing the purchase order.

In this role, you will:

Handle the entire estimating and tender process, ensuring projects are accurately scoped, specified, and priced to win work. Attend site visits to measure up works, assess project requirements, and meet clients face-to-face to discuss proposals. Work closely with our trusted supply chain network, engaging manufacturers and suppliers to help develop robust, tailored specifications for each project. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business opportunities. Provide detailed handovers to the Projects Team for smooth delivery of secured contracts. Follow established processes while bringing your expertise to improve and enhance the estimating department. Deliver consistent results and meeting targets for securing new work.

What we are looking for:

Proven track record estimating and winning tenders - preferably within the solar or roofing and building envelope refurbishment project sector. Experience working directly with clients and surveyors on commercial and industrial projects. Strong knowledge of all aspects of solar energy. Confident communicator, capable of leading site surveys and client discussions. Commercially astute, organised, and self-managed, able to work under pressure to deadlines. Experience liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to build accurate, competitive project specifications.
