As a European Events Specialist at BD, you will be a key member of the Marketing Services department. You will lead the delivery of international events and projects across Europe, ensuring they are professionally executed, impactful, and aligned with our brand and values. Main responsibilities will include:



Plan and execute medium to large-scale events across Europe, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers (hotels, venues, AV, catering) to manage all aspects of event logistics Lead on-site coordination and provide support during events, including shipping requests and venue setup (may involve light manual handling) Guide and support junior event colleagues when necessary, ensuring knowledge-sharing and consistency Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiation of contracts, rates, and terms Manage online events and webinars, working closely with omnichannel teams to align social media content Ensure compliance with internal finance and regulatory processes for all events Prepare reports and documentation as required by the Marketing Services Manager

About you:

Proven experience in event planning or project management within a multinational or regional context. Life sciences experience is considered an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Confident computer usage, in particular Microsoft Office tools Confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments and enjoys working with diverse teams Experience in managing external suppliers and negotiating contracts Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently within Europe, including occasional evenings and weekends Familiarity with online event platforms and social media campaign coordination is advantageous
