To effectively manage the running of all departments on the evening shift.
Hours
: 1.30pm - 10.00pm
Main activities:
Carry out instructions from the Senior Production Team.
Direct line management responsibility for all Evening Leadership Team.
Ensure that all hygiene, food safety and health & safety policies are adhered to by staff at all times.
Ensure that all quality systems, checks, CCPs and HACCP monitoring is carried out accurately and to the highest standard.
Drive and champion a positive culture in line with the company's mission statement.
Plan, monitor and support the Evening Leadership Team in agreeing work schedules and resources to ensure that each department's targets and KPI's are achieved.
Agree with the Production Manager the allocation of staff tasks, rotating responsibilities as and when appropriate to achieve flexibility and the best use of available skill in order to achieve efficiency and staff development.
Conduct staff 1-2-1's, return to work interviews, including all aspects of HR functions laid down in the staff handbook.
Attend regular management meetings.
Liaise and form good relations with all departmental Middle Managers and Senior Managers.
Play an active role in improving overall factory performance.
Adhere to and advocate all company procedures and policies.
Requirements:
Experience and detailed knowledge of food production, food safety, and technical standards (e.g. HACCP, BRC, FSA).
Experience of leading departmental shifts, people management and the ability to prioritise and delegate under pressure.
Knowledge of product quality, hygiene, traceability and customer specs.
IT literate, including knowledge of production software, stock systems, T& A and shift reporting tools.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally and the highest level, including mentoring and developing teams.
Results focused with a proven track record of KPI achievements in yield, waste, downtime and giveaway.
