The Edinburgh Thistle Hotel is a charming, privately owned boutique hotel located in the heart of Edinburgh's West End. We pride ourselves on offering a warm, welcoming environment for guests and a supportive, friendly team culture.

We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Evening Receptionist to join our team 4 evenings per week. This is a varied role that combines front desk responsibilities with light food preparation, bar service, and occasional housekeeping support.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in/out guests with professionalism and a warm manner Handle telephone and email enquiries Serve drinks from the bar (training provided if needed) Assist in preparing and serving items from our Lite Bites menu Maintain a clean and welcoming reception and lounge area Support the housekeeping team with light duties when needed Ensure security and guest safety during evening hours Record and communicate guest requests or maintenance issues

What We're Looking For:

Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred Confident working independently and handling multiple tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic food handling or bar experience is a bonus (training can be provided) Flexible and willing to support different departments as needed Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
