The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in both Bloomsbury and at UCL East.



The department is one of only a few broad-based anthropology departments in the UK, comprising five sub-sections: Evolutionary and Environmental Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Material Culture, Medical Anthropology, and Public Anthropology.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Event Coordinator to join the Biosocial Lives of Birth Cohorts (BSLBC) project team. The post holder will play a key role in coordinating and supporting the two main activities of the team, including an international conference and a digital and in-person exhibition in London. This role is fixed-term for eight months and part-time (0.6 FTE), starting in November 2025.

About you


-------------


We are seeking a professional with proven experience in organising events and managing large international projects, combined with the ability to perform administrative tasks as outlined in the job description. The successful candidate will also possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and adapt content effectively for different audiences, along with excellent networking and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders. A working knowledge of Portuguese and/or Dutch is desirable.
