The Royal Household delivers a large number of events every year across the royal residences. From receptions and award ceremonies to large summer garden parties, you'll help support events that recognise and celebrate thousands of people in the UK and across the world for their contribution to society.
In this role you'll lead a newly integrated team at the heart of delivering many high profile events for the organisation, sat within The Lord Chamberlain's Office, who manage ceremonial events, but also supporting the Master of the Household's hospitality Events team. You'll oversee our new 'Invitations Office' - responsible for the smooth running end-to-end invitation and guest management process for our events programme.
You'll manage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, as well as coordinate the team's resource and workload, streamlining our processes and ways of working. You'll ensure every detail is handled with precision and be at the forefront of driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a super user of our CRM system, you'll oversee our internal processes for guest communications, embedding them across the variety of events the organisation delivers.
You'll design and lead training and support programmes for colleagues, championing a data-led approach to guest management.
Managing and maintaining key guest and organisational data across platforms, you'll ensure accuracy and timely data entry.
You'll work closely with stakeholders to modernise and future-proof processes, incorporating technologies such as QR code entry and electronic invitations.
With peaks in the annual events calendar, you'll plan resource, and manage a specialist team (partially seasonal or fixed term). You'll guide and train colleagues to build on data competence, as well as ensure the team is ready to respond to both planned and ad hoc event needs.
Collaborating with colleagues across departments, you'll support the management of high-level guest communications, RSVP handling, and due diligence processes.
About you
About You:
Substantial experience in CRM or database management role, potentially within an events environment.
Highly proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
An experienced team leader, you'll be confident guiding and developing teams, identifying training needs, and managing resources efficiently.
You have a proven ability to communicate at all levels, with strong written and verbal skills, and experience managing multiple high-level stakeholders.
Organised and detail-focused, you excel in a fast-paced and changing environment where priorities shift quickly.
A natural problem solver, you're confident in identifying improvements, implementing change, and supporting colleagues through change.
