You will be responsible for liaising with our office team & ensuring the preparation & maintenance of decor & event equipment is ready to go out on events. You will manage a team to ensure this is executed on time and to a high standard. You will be responsible for managing all of our stock and for the smooth running of the operations as we grow our business. The business is growing rapidly so you will be need to be adaptable to support us with our growth are required. This is ideal for a candidate looking for an exciting career move wants to join us in a managerial role and put a real stamp on the business progress. (A hands on, get stuck in approach is essential for this role).
Key responsibilities
Reporting to CEO
Managing workload for the team & supporting with day to day workload
Responsible for ensuring decor & equipment is prepared ready to go out onsite. You will play a key role in the delivery of our events.
Preparation of materials/equipment/decor for events (full training provided, a creative eye is an advantage).
Responsible for stock control & decor storage.
Responsible for making sure decor is all present on jobs/checking off lists to ensure everything is loaded onto vans.
Cleaning of stock
Responsible for warehouse cleanliness at end of day
Assist on-site with the set up and de-rig of events. Event set ups may take place in the evening and will include weekends & late nights.
Post events you will be responsible for disassembling decor and returning it back to its locations in the warehouse.
This is a very active role, the ideal candidate will be healthy and physically fit.
Driving and delivering equipment to event venues and working as part of our set up team.
Supporting the events team with the setup of the showroom for client meetings.
Requirements
- Must have Full Driving License + be 25 years+ to drive our vans
- Must be able to commute daily to our warehouse in Denton, Manchester.
- Willing to be flexible with working hours where required
- Able to work at weekends when events take place to either support onsite or help in the warehouse on busy weekends
- Confident and presentable to liaise with clients onsite
- An understanding of the events industry is an advantage. Must be willing to learn. Quick learner.
- Experience working in events, venue stying, event production or floristry is a bonus but not essential. Full training for this role will be provided.
Working hours - 8am - 4.30pm (Monday - Friday) or 9am - 5.30pm, plus Weekends as required (long hours are part of this role due to early set up and late night de rig). Event Related Expenses will be Covered. Immediate start available.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Freelance
Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
