Events Coordinator / Manager

IDS is looking for a new member to join our Marketing Team as an Events Coordinator/Manager. Sharing our passion for the creative arts, the successful applicant will play a key role in connecting with the dance community by bringing our events and promotions to life through thoughtful planning, seamless delivery, and meaningful customer engagement.

You will;

Plan, coordinate, and manage a variety of promotional events including trade shows, conferences and our own IDS hosted events (i.e. our annual Dance Teacher Convention 'Elevate'). Coordinate logistics: venue booking, catering, travel, accommodation etc. Manage event administration: schedules, budgets, and supplier/faculty coordination. Manage on-site event delivery, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction (ex. International). Engage with customers to increase awareness, generate interest, and drive sales. Contribute ideas to marketing strategy to drive event attendance, ensuring all event sponsorship/marketing materials are scheduled and delivered. Maintain accurate budget records and prepare post-event reports. Track and analyse performance to improve event ROI.

Skills & Experience



Previous event planning experience (essential). Highly organised with strong attention to detail (essential). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential). Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines (essential). Customer service or sales experience (desirable). Knowledge of/passion for the dance industry (desirable).
Please note as our events take us across the UK, this role includes some travel and weekend work to support key activities.

This role will be based in our Newton Abbot offices, however hybrid working will be considered after your initial probationary period.
