Job Description

This advert covers two roles on the same project. Site Manager and Site Supervisor. Applicants will be assessed and appointed at the appropriate level based on experience.

Project overview

Large scale industrial cold storage shed. Project value 10m to 20m. Long term programme. Multi disciplinary scope including groundworks, concrete, steel frame, envelope, and M&E.

Start dates

Site start. Late March to early April Site Manager start. Approximately 4 to 6 weeks pre start Site Supervisors. In line with site mobilisation and phased works
Role structure and support

You will work within a clear and supported project structure. A Senior Project Manager leads the scheme. Commercial, design, and tendering support sit behind the site team. You are not expected to operate in isolation.

Site Manager. Role summary

You will take day to day control of site operations. You will manage supervisors, subcontractors, programme activities, and site safety. You will be responsible for driving delivery on site in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements.

Site Supervisor. Role summary

You will supervise specific work fronts or trade packages. You will manage labour, plant, and subcontractors within your area. You will report into the Site Manager and Project Manager.

Key responsibilities. Site Manager

Day to day management of site operations Lead and coordinate supervisors and subcontractors Manage short term planning and programme activities Maintain quality standards across all trades Enforce health and safety compliance Chair daily briefings and coordination meetings Liaise with Project Manager, client, and consultants Manage site records, permits, and reporting
Key responsibilities. Site Supervisor

Supervise allocated work areas or trade packages Coordinate labour, plant, and materials Monitor workmanship and quality Ensure RAMS are followed at all times Maintain safe systems of work Report progress and issues to the Site Manager Support programme delivery at task level
Experience required. Site Manager

Minimum 5 years experience in a site management role Proven delivery of industrial or commercial projects Strong background in groundworks and structural works Experience on large sheds or logistics buildings preferred Confident managing multiple subcontract packages
Experience required. Site Supervisor

Proven experience supervising construction works Groundworks, concrete, or civils background preferred Experience on industrial or large scale projects advantageous Comfortable working to programme and quality targets
Qualifications and tickets

SMSTS required for Site Manager SSSTS required for Site Supervisor CSCS card required First Aid preferred Good working knowledge of UK health and safety requirements
