Queen Elizabeth's School is looking for a Examinations Invigilator to join our friendly team. Could this be you?


Actual Salary 12.85 per hour.


Approximate start date January 2026


We are looking to expand our team of casual invigilators in the running of internal and public examinations.


The main external examinations take place in May and June each year, but we also have a range of other exams running throughout the academic year, so hours are available during other exam periods.


We are looking for outstanding individuals who can:

Supervise students taking examinations Assist in the preparation of exam rooms Distribute and collect exam papers Be flexible in their approach to working hours and arrangements Demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to work under pressure Work as part of a team Be accurate in both verbal and written communication

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who:

Is reliable Is organised and has excellent attention to detail Remains calm under pressure Has excellent communication skills Has the ability to supervise students in exam conditions

Examinations Invigilators will have high expectations of all candidates and respect for their social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic backgrounds, and medical / special educational needs.


This is a casual engagement and working hours will be agreed for each exam period.


Hours offered would fall between 8:00 am - 3:30 pm during the week.


You must be able to commit to either mornings, afternoons or ideally both during our busy exam periods.


Whilst experience is preferred, full training will be provided.
