Job Description

We are recruiting an Executive Consultant - Commercial Director, to join our consulting team, to lead, and deliver continued growth in Commercial Service, to help achieve the overall business growth strategy.

The person will have responsibility for the leadership and continued development of our commercial team, fostering a high-performing and client focused culture, ensuring the adoption of best practice and a 'work smarter' approach. You will be responsible for the growth of existing services, developing and establishing new services, strengthening the service offering, whilst engaging with new and existing clients.

The person will be responsible for all aspects of Commercial Services within the business, covering, Assurance & Value for Money, Management & Change, Design & Innovation and Facilitation & Solutions.



The role will report into our Director of Commercial & Finance and have a place on the operating board.

Key Responsibilities


Delivering all fundamental aspects of being an employee of Lumensol, to include personal training and development, compliance with policies and procedures, upholding our values and contributing to our fantastic team and overall business culture and behaviours A shared responsibility for the growth of Lumensol and our services to all appropriate organisations, delivering to annual revenue, utilisation and profit growth targets Attend the Operating Board, contribute to the operational strategy and performance of the business Line management and development of various levels of consultants within the team, whilst fostering a high-performing culture, ensuring a best practice and 'work smarter' approach Direct responsibility for the delivery of consultancy service projects that meet the requirements of our contracts with clients, and deliver better outcomes for them and their customers The production of proposals for new work with clients, reaching agreement and entering into contract Leading client relationships, the delivery of projects and securing new work. This includes the cross selling of Lumensol's full range of services to existing clients (often delivered by their peers) Establishing and fostering new client relationships Recruitment of new consultants to join the team, and deliver the business growth strategy Managing the production of collateral that describes Lumensol's services, the benefits to clients and their customers, with evidence Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Essential Skills and Experience:


Minimum 5 years' experience operating in Commercial Services at a senior level, either client side, with a contractor or consultant Higher education or degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject or experience Excellent management experience and team development Background in social housing contracts is essential Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, analysis, problem solving and the use of core Microsoft office applications that include Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work independently, in the leadership of teams and as part of an executive team Experience of versatility in rapidly changing environment, priorities and needs of our clients Energy, enthusiasm and a drive to work hard and learn as part of an experienced team Proven ability to work methodically, follow procedures and manage information Positive, polite, organised and professional in everything that they do

Desirable Skills and Experience:


RICS, Mediation, Arbitration or Adjudication qualifications Complex commercial negotiation, issue resolution, and final account conclusion Understanding of the procurement, price mechanism and target operating models Understanding of operations and finance in the local government and registered provider sector Benefits
