Executive Pastor / Minister



Main Purpose:



The Executive Pastor / Minister of Destiny Temple is primarily responsible for the operational and administrative aspects of the church, allowing the Senior Pastor to focus on spiritual leadership and preaching. They handle strategic planning, human resources, finance, and overall church operations. Essentially, the Executive Pastor serves as the Chief Operating Officer, implementing the vision and mission set by the Senior Pastor.

This position works closely with the Senior Pastor and staff to ensure all operations are carried out consistent with the strategic direction of the church - Mission/Vision, Core Values, Culture and Ministry Focus.

Accountability:



Senior Pastor

Main Duties and Responsibilities:



1. Strategy



Develop practical and applicable systems and strategies that will empower the church to fulfil its vision.

Helping the church define and achieve its goals, often leading strategic initiatives.

2. Training and Team Developments



Train or organise training for different departments and team leaders.

3. Worship Service



Together with the creative team (Worship and Media) plan and organize service flows and ensure seamless flow in all our services.

4. Facilitating Church Programs



Ensuring programs align with the church's mission and are executed effectively.

5. Relationship with the Senior Pastor



Working closely with the Lead Pastor to implement their vision and ensure smooth church operations.

6. Administration



Oversee and handle church's administration.

Managing day-to-day operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.

7. Outreach



Bring ideas and help the church in reaching out to the community.

Connect the church with the community.

8. Assimilation



Together with the community team, create a system that will assimilate new members in church and follow up.

9. Growth



Create ways and systems that will enhance church growth.

10. Church Planting



Develop effective church planting strategy that will enable the church to fulfil its church-planting mission in various cities in UK and countries.

Qualifications



1. Academic



a. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university or seminary; or equivalent experience.

b. Diploma or certificate in ministry or theological studies

2. Spiritual



a) Destiny Temple is a Christian faith organisation and some responsibilities involved in this role include leading prayers, preaching and teaching biblical principles and beliefs, therefore one must be a born again and bible believing Christian.

b) S/he will meet the spiritual, moral and character qualifications of an elder as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9, and will exhibit the fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22

c) S/he will be a person given to personal biblical studies and a prayerful life.

d) S/he will wholeheartedly affirm and embrace the church vision, statement of faith and by-laws of Destiny Temple.

e) S/he will be a member in good standing with Destiny Temple. If not a member when called, s/he will complete a probation and induction within 6 months of assuming his/her responsibilities as Executive Pastor

f) S/he will wholeheartedly embrace the Biblical model of equipping other believers for ministry and will demonstrate significant skills in building, leading and empowering ministry teams for advancing the work of the church.

3. Experience



a. Have some experience in church leadership.

b. A Team player and a servant leader

c. Possess Administrative skills and experience.

d. Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead in a multi-staff, mission-oriented church.

Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

b. Strong Organizational Skills:



Essential for managing various church operations.

c. Excellent Communication Skills:



To effectively communicate with staff, leaders, and the congregation.

d. Strong Interpersonal Skills:



To build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams.

e. Leadership and Management Expertise:



To guide and mentor staff and leaders.

5. Others



a. Teachable, friendly, and able to connect with the church members and the community.

b. Responsible and doesn't require supervision all the time to do their work.

c. Effective Communication skills

d. Computer skills e.g. website maintenance, Canva, google docs, etc

e. Able to travel and establish DT communities in line with vision 2020.

Key Deliverables



a. Establish functional church strategy, structure, and systems.

b. Train and raise leaders in different ministries and departments.

c. Church planting in line with vision 2020

d. A high standard of excellence is expected and required in all areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00 per year
