We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team. Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs and junior team members Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements Support food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency across all menu items Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment and professional development Assist in menu planning and development in collaboration with the culinary team Serve as a role model for excellent customer service during service hours

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting Extensive food production, cooking, and kitchen experience with a strong understanding of culinary techniques Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a background in hospitality preferred Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards serving guests and supporting team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-37,500.00 per year
