Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, while fostering a positive and efficient working environment for the team.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support kitchen staff in daily food preparation and cooking tasks. Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations. Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency and quality. Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth. Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards before serving. Assist in managing kitchen operations during peak service times to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Previous experience in food production with an emphasis on quality control. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
