Responsibilities
Coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely delivery of orders
Monitor food preparation progress and communicate updates effectively to servers and guests
Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before serving
Assist with meal assembly and plating when necessary, supporting the culinary team
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the expediting area
Uphold food safety standards in all aspects of work, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods
Support delivery drivers by organising orders for prompt dispatch when required
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries
Contribute to a positive guest experience through attentive service and professional communication
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is highly desirable
Experience as a delivery driver or in kitchen roles such as cooking or meal preparation is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
Familiarity with guest services, serving, and hotel or barista experience is beneficial
Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good understanding of phone etiquette and professional conduct in customer interactions
