We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles.
Duties
Process invoices and manage accounts payable transactions efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries as required.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and payment processes.
Support the finance team with various administrative tasks related to accounting functions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding financial transactions.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is required.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with colleagues and vendors.
