Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers using Sage 50 software incl. preparing monthly management accounts
Process weekly and monthly payroll for employees and subcontractors
Manage CIS deductions and submissions in line with HMRC regulations
Experience in VAT returns
Experience in bank reconciliations
Process purchase invoices and raise sales invoices incl. recording project costs
Support month-end reporting and ad hoc finance tasks
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams regarding payment queries
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar account's role
Strong working knowledge of
VAT
,
Payroll
and
CIS
processes incl. revenue reporting
Familiarity with
Sage 50
accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
AAT qualification or working towards it or a minimum of 5 years' hands on experience working in similar role
Experience in the construction and/or trade sector
