Saltwater Beach Cafe, by Chalkwell Beach, Essex is looking to recruit an experienced cafe barista to join their friendly team. The role is offering shifts during the week including shifts at the weekend, some staff holiday cover will also be available and occasional evening work.

Working in a busy, vibrant environment in a lovely location, it is essential that you have relevant cafe experience, an excellent understanding of coffee preparation and work well under pressure in a very busy but fun atmosphere.

As part of the team you will be making a variety of coffees and hot/cold drinks, taking food orders so knowledge of vegan and vegetarian and other food allergy awareness is advantageous and be an all round team player.

Attention to detail is essential to ensure we are consistent in the service we provide, as well as working as a team member, being able to work independently is also key. Keeping the work areas clean and tidy and helping with the cafe open and closing processes so a sound understanding of health and hygiene is required.

We have a passion for environmental issues and want to build a great community space so we would like to add to our team with a like minded person. There is a lot of customer interaction, having a bright, yet calm personality is perfect for this role.

It is essential that if you are applying for this role, you do have at least 2 years Barista experience within a high volume cafe and can work well under pressure at speed.
