Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic and experienced Barista to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation and beverage service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring that our customers have an enjoyable experience.

SUCCESFUL CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 20+ HOURS

Availability over the Christmas period is essential, although please note we are closed on Christmas Day

Duties

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards Operate coffee machines and prepare a variety of coffee drinks, ensuring quality and consistency Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations as needed Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards Previous barista experience is highly desirable for preparing specialty coffee drinks Strong serving skills to provide attentive service to customers Experience in food preparation to assist in creating menu items efficiently Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours
