Job Title: Experienced Bookkeeper (Full-Time, In-House)

35,000 - 38,000 (depending on experience)

Full-time, Monday to Friday

We sell across multiple online channels and manage operations through Linnworks, handling thousands of orders each week.

We're now looking for an experienced and detail-driven

Bookkeeper

to take control of our day-to-day finance operations and bring structure, accuracy, and professionalism to our accounts.

The Role

You'll be responsible for all core bookkeeping duties -- making sure every transaction is accurate, reconciled, and ready for reporting.
You'll work closely with the CEO and an external Financial Controller, who will provide guidance and support on month-end and management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all daily bookkeeping activities across multiple bank accounts and payment platforms Reconcile sales, merchant accounts, and supplier statements Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with deadlines Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers Prepare month-end journals and support the Financial Controller in producing management accounts Assist with payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations Liaise with suppliers, auditors, and external accountants where required Suggest and implement process improvements to make finance more efficient

About You

You're a solid, capable Bookkeeper who takes pride in accuracy and getting things done properly. You're confident handling complex reconciliations and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-channel retail environment.

You'll need to have:

At least

5 years of bookkeeping experience

Strong skills in

reconciliation, accuracy, and organisation

Confidence with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills Experience in

e-commerce, retail, or stock-based businesses

(preferred) AAT Level 3+ or equivalent experience A proactive mindset -- someone who spots problems before they become issues
