We are offering a very varied Position. Primarily We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our small team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing timely monthly Management Accounts. The role requires proficiency in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho and Xero, to manage accounts payable and other financial tasks effectively. Job Costing experience will be important.

In addition to the Accountancy responsibilities of the Company, preference will be given to a multi talented person capable of taking on the Position of PA to the Managing Director. Knowledge and experience is vital for Microsoft Office and all of the Social Medium Platforms as this Position is also responsible for detailed and cost effective advertising working alongside the MD.

We like everybody to be a Sales Person therefore any sales experience and knowledge of cars and the specifications & values will be highly advantageous. There is also an opportunity to learn and be involved with the detailed preparation of the vehicles prior to being offered for sale.

The successful Candidate will be given full support to turn this Role into a senior Position. We don't have room for people shy of hard work, we also look for honesty of course but we mostly appreciate and reward an excellent 'can-do' attitude

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and reconciling accounts. Applicants will have to show they have the necessary accounting training, background & qualifications. Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required. Every vehicle purchased and sold must have every cost recorded. Extensive knowledge of VAT and in particular the VAT Used Car Stock Book (training can be given) Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents in accordance with company policies. Capable of producing accurate and timely Mangement Accounts within 7 working days of the new month. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all accounting practices. Continuously improve bookkeeping processes for increased efficiency.

Requirements

This Role requires a special person, not only to be the Company Bookkeeper/Accountant but also to support the MD as a neat & efficient PA bringing the Company up into this modern digital world. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of the requirements of being a PA to a busy MD. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
