We are seeking an experienced Customer-focused Barista to join our team and assist in the day-to-day running of our coffee shop. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

Interact with customers in a warm and welcoming manner, assisting them with their orders and providing helpful recommendations. Your focus on customer satisfaction will be essential to create a positive and memorable experience.

Order Processing:

Efficiently operate the till system, accurately handle payments, and process customer orders promptly, ensuring a smooth and seamless transaction process.

Beverage Preparation:

Master the art of preparing hot and cold drinks, including our signature coffee blends, teas, and other beverages, adhering to our quality standards to delight our customers' taste buds.

Food Preparation and Service:

Participate in the preparation and serving of delicious food items from our menu, maintaining consistency and adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Hygiene and Cleanliness:

Take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised coffee shop environment. Regularly clean and clear tables, workstations, and common areas during service to ensure a safe and pleasant working space for both customers and staff.

Menu Knowledge:

Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our menu offerings, including awareness of allergens present in the ingredients. Be ready to provide accurate information to customers who may have specific dietary requirements or concerns.

Adaptable and Collaborative:

Be open to undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the smooth functioning of the coffee shop and contribute to the overall team effort.

Qualifications and Skills:

Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role is advantageous, but not mandatory. A friendly and approachable demeanour, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail to maintain cleanliness and quality standards. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining focused on delivering outstanding service. A passion for coffee and food, with a willingness to learn and master various preparation techniques. Basic understanding of allergens and food safety practices. Flexibility in working hours and availability for shifts, including weekends and holidays.
