Experienced Café Chef
Job Description
We are a much loved award winning dog friendly cafe situated on the busy Kings Road, Chelsea. We are looking for an experienced creative cafe cook to join our team full time and assist in creating sophisticated classic cafe meals as well as simple human grade dog treats.
Responsibilities would include the following:
Prepping various ingredients such as meats and vegetables
Working as part of a team and collaborating with the head chef and cooks to prepare meals
Cleaning up the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensuring the prep area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of the shift
Maintaining a pantry stock record regularly
Ordering and restocking the pantry and fridge as necessary
Keeping up high standards of food hygiene and keeping record of this
Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
Maintain communication with staff working on the cafe floor to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a cafe or restaurant setting Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and presentation Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Background in kitchen operations and teamwork Previous serving experience is a plus, enhancing customer service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per month
