is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated part time Cashier.

Job Summary



The successful candidate should have good all-round experience and knowledge of the workings of a Cash Desk within the Casino industry and the ability to be able to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Cash Desk within the constraints of all Legislation.

Have excellent communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team and on their own. To ensure compliance with Legislation and company procedures in respect of Gambling Commission's LCCP and including Health & Safety in the workplace and public areas at all times. Ensuring compliance with all Data Protection Legislation.

The policies and procedures contained in this Manual of Gaming Procedures.

The Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission's Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) and the Money Laundering Regulations and Guidelines.

Cash desk duties therefore fall into three main categories:

1. Customer based transactions;

2. Table/ER/gaming machine transactions;

3. Administration and general duties.

Main Duties



1. To have a sound knowledge of the relevant cash desk and gaming procedures manuals.

2. To adhere to the correct Cash Desk procedures at all times.

3. To balance and reconcile the cash and chip floats.

4. To process petty cash and expenses.

5. To record the cash-drops, results and promotions of all relevant players in real time on a daily basis.

6. To maintain accurate records of all cash transactions for compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations.

7. To bank excess cash and to order and receive top-up deliveries as necessary.

8. To report any discrepancies or any incidents of a doubtful nature immediately to the manager.

9. To liaise and co-operate with colleagues to ensure smoothness and efficiency in the running of the Cash Desk.

10. Never to leave the Cash Desk without authorisation or to leave the Cash Desk unlocked or un-shuttered and always to carry the Personal Attack alarm whilst on duty when leaving the Cash Desk.

11. To accept any lawful and reasonable advice or directions given by the management or the head cashier.

12. To adopt and maintain the correct approach whilst working e.g. showing the interest and concentration required to provide the necessary control of the Cash Desk.

13. To pass on all relevant information to the oncoming cashier.

14. To display a courteous attitude to customers at all times, to listen with patience and, whenever required and appropriate, to provide a brief explanation of the gambling activities.

15. To be constantly aware of the comfort of the customers and to bring any jostling or overcrowding of customers to the attention of the Management.

16. Where there is any dispute or argument whatsoever concerning a customer, to refer to the management immediately.

17. To be prepared for cash counts (table games, gaming machines and TBR) during operations when required.

18. To assist Management in the stocking and maintenance of ATMs and to maintain and process all relevant ATM paperwork.

19. To bear in mind at all times the Company's obligations regarding Safer Gambling and to report any behaviour of, or conversation with any customer or fellow member of staff that may indicate potential concern for their wellbeing to a pit boss or manager at the earliest opportunity.

20. To clean and prepare the Cash Desk counter before operation and to maintain the general tidiness of the cash desk during business hours.

21. To ensure that any visitors to Cash Desk sign the Visitor Book/ Communication Diary on entering and leaving the cash desk.

Person Specification:



Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a a team.

PFL accreditation with the Gambling Commission.

Must be willing to work varied shifts and follow instructions as well as giving clear instruction to the management team.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

In return we will offer the successful applicant:



Starting salary 13,416.00

20-hour week - 2 shifts over 7days. Shifts will include evenings and weekends and will involve some late finishes.
