We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your leadership skills will be essential in supervising kitchen staff and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. The right person for this will be required to start straight away and be willing to work over Christmas.
Responsibilities
Lead the culinary team in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and restaurant policies.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
Previous experience in supervising or managing kitchen staff is highly desirable.
