Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in food production
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery of meals
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred
