We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of Lead Cook, with a view of developing, in situ, to become a Head Chef.
This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests, delivering exceptional meal experiences through excellent culinary skills and customer service. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a range of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during busy service periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Support with food presentation, garnishing, and portion control to ensure visual appeal.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks in the kitchen environment.
Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service.
Serve food to guests when required, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness.
Develop and Design Menu's, Utilising local produce and seasonal products
Qualifications
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is a must.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A genuine passion for food and customer service.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their culinary skills in a supportive environment while contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests.
