We are seeking a highly organised and professional
Senior Receptionist
to join our busy, specialist dental practice. This is a full-time position for an experienced individual with strong reception and administrative skills, excellent communication, and a confident, personable approach.
As a key member of our front-of-house and administrative team, you will play an important role in delivering an outstanding patient experience, supporting clinicians, and ensuring that our processes run smoothly and efficiently. Although this position will focus primarily on reception, administration, and patient communication, there is an element of treatment coordination across all reception roles,
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a professional and welcoming service to all patients, ensuring an excellent experience from first contact to aftercare.
Manage telephone and email enquiries with an exceptional telephone manner and strong communication skills.
Confidently convert patient enquiries into appointments and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate appointment schedules and patient records using SOE Exact.
Proofread clinician correspondence, ensuring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and completeness.
Identify and flag any missing information in letters or treatment summaries.
Manage payments, deposits, and outstanding balances in line with practice policy.
Collaborate closely with colleagues and clinicians to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Support administrative processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of reception systems.
Manage patient leads through our CRM software.
Experience
Experienced dental receptionist with a proven track record in a busy environment.
Experience within a private or specialist dental practice and familiarity with treatment coordination will be advantageous.
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading and written English skills.
Highly organised, efficient, and confident multitasker.
Strong IT proficiency (SOE Exact and Microsoft Office).
Professional, calm, and friendly manner when interacting with patients and team members.
Strong understanding of different areas of dentistry, including: Endodontics, Implant treatments, Oral surgery, Orthodontics, Restorative dentistry, Cosmetic dentistry, and Periodontics.
Familiarity with treatment coordination will be advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 30,160.00-32,240.00 per year
