Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Experienced Takeaway Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Take away and restaurant environment. This position involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. The Shop Assistant will also be responsible for upselling products and managing time effectively to meet the demands of a busy Take away service.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items in accordance with established recipes and food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and shop area to ensure a safe working environment. Help customers by providing information about menu items and making recommendations to enhance their dining experience. Perform basic maths for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively. Support the team in various kitchen tasks, including cooking, plating, and serving food as required. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers, enhancing overall sales. Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation. Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience in a Takeaway environment is essential. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Familiarity with culinary techniques and food preparation methods is beneficial. Strong time management skills are essential for maintaining workflow during peak hours. A positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service is crucial for success in this role.
