Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fish and chips to the highest standards, ensuring all food safety regulations are adhered to. Assist in the preparation of other menu items as required, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Engage with customers, providing excellent service and upselling additional items to enhance their dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Perform basic maths for handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the restaurant.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Basic maths skills for processing orders and payments accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and colleagues alike. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
