Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to the highest standards, ensuring a consistent and quality dining experience for our customers. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. Prior Chip shop kitchen or restaurant experience is important, and full training will be provided for the right applicant. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about food preparation and cooking.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and operate deep fryers to cook food items efficiently and safely Ensure all fried products meet quality standards and presentation requirements Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station in accordance with food safety regulations Monitor oil temperature and replenish supplies as needed to ensure optimal cooking conditions Assist with meal preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of hot oil and equipment Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operation

Skills

Experience in food preparation, cooking, or working within a kitchen environment is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Good organisational skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques Previous restaurant or serving experience is a plus but not essential
