We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes, ensuring excellent food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production
Manage food preparation processes, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy periods
Oversee food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input for new grilled items
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment
Skills
Proven experience in food production, particularly grilling and meat preparation
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
Excellent culinary skills with a focus on grilling techniques and food presentation
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and cleanliness
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service through quality food presentation
