Charles Linton Construction Ltd is currently seeking a highly experienced and self-employed Groundworker to join our dedicated team.

We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible and invite applications from qualified individuals who are proficient in digger / dumper operation, drainage, footings, brickwork, steel installation, and patio construction, this list is not exhaustive.

Our projects are primarily located in and around the West Sussex area.

Essential requirements for this role include -

Proven groundworks experience with comprehensive knowledge of materials A full, clean UK Driving Licence (for applicants aged 25 and over) Ability to read and interpret architectural plans Flexibility, adaptability, strong teamwork skills, honesty, politeness, and a high work ethic. Demonstrated full knowledge of digger and dumper operation (CPCS card would be useful) Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy and awkward materials.

Immediate availability.

Confidence to work unsupervised, engaging with clients, suppliers, and local authorities. Live local to the Haywards Heath / Burgess Hill area. Good geographical knowledge of West and East Sussex. Commitment to adhering to all site safety regulations. Willingness to work on a self-employed basis with a valid UTR number.

A competitive day rate, to be discussed during the interview. Weekly payment, following an initial week in hand. A consistent day shift, starting at 07:15, Monday to Friday. Opportunities for weekend work. Provision of CLC branded workwear. Supply of a company van after an initial period, which will be discussed at the interview.
Your responsibilities will include:

Operating and maintaining necessary equipment while strictly adhering to safety protocols. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Driving to various project locations as required, utilising your valid driving license. Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve project goals efficiently. Managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain productivity. Providing support and assistance in daily operations and tasks as needed.
