Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children. You will work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure high-quality care and education is provided to all children in our nursery.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Support the emotional and social development of children, encouraging positive behaviour and interactions. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment at all times. Work collaboratively with the nursery team to ensure the smooth running of daily activities. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma). Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their needs. Driving licence preferred but not essential for the role.
