Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female personal assistant/carer to provide high-quality support to a young lady living in her family home, the young adult has learning difficulties and is a wheelchair user for outdoors activities but can walk indoors for a short time.

The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and support the young lady through personalised care and attentive service. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference, and support to live independently while developing valuable skills within the health and social care sector.

Age 19+

Responsibilities

Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Administer medication following prescribed instructions. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the young lady's condition Assist with light meal preparation and feeding as required Support with light domestic tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable environment Communicate effectively with the young lady and family members.

Skills

Clean, Driving licence for supporting social outings, and accompany with day trips using the young adult wheelchair's adapted vehicle, non drivers also welcome Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication Empathy, reliable, patience, active, understanding and a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals
This role is suitable for individuals passionate about providing compassionate care and eager to develop their skills within the health and social care sector. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication abilities, organisational skills, and a genuine desire to support the young lady .

Hours - Saturday 9am - 5pm and evenings after 5pm during the week.
