Responsibilities

Prepare and cut meat according to specifications, ensuring precision and attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and effectively. Monitor the quality of meat products, discarding any that do not meet standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of products for food preparation. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat products and offering recommendations.

Experience

Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the culinary or food production industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Familiarity with various cuts of meat and cooking methods is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
