Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our small team in a vibrant Caribbean restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, demonstrating excellent guest service skills. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages with great customer service.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing menu recommendations and upselling items when appropriate. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation. Preparing simple cocktails (training will be provided if needed) Occasionally assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety regulations and kitchen protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and address any guest concerns promptly. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive attentive service. Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, and specials.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous. Understanding of food safety standards and regulations is required. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and satisfaction. A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to work as part of a team are essential attributes for success in this role.
PLEASE NOTE THE HOURS ARE MOSTLY WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.76-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
