Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Site Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent time management abilities to effectively manage resources and liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Duties

Coordinate and supervise daily site activities to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines. Develop detailed project schedules, ensuring all phases are accurately planned and tracked. Manage procurement of materials and equipment, maintaining effective communication with suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor health and safety compliance on-site, implementing procedures to minimise risks. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and resolve any issues promptly. Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, changes, and incidents. Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Manage a team of workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or civil engineering project management. Excellent organisational skills with a focus on effective time management. Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams on-site. Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail. Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management are preferred but not essential.
