We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician subcontract to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they meet high standards of aesthetics and safety. Responsibilities
Lay turf to a good standard and rake soil level
Operate a range of power tools such as trimmers, blowers, tillers, and lawn mowers efficiently and safely.
Use hand tools for planting, edging, and general garden upkeep.
Maintain irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and regular inspection to ensure optimal water distribution.
Operate construction machinery such as excavators for site preparation or landscaping projects.
Conduct minor repairs and mechanical maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Assist with the installation of new landscape features or structures as required.
Follow health and safety protocols at all times during outdoor work activities.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
Proven experience in soft landscape , maintenance and horticulture is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery and tools used in landscaping is advantageous.
Proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment.
Experience operating excavators or similar construction machinery is preferred.
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
Strong understanding of horticultural practices and garden management.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
A valid driver's licence is desirable but not essential; willingness to travel between sites is required.
