About the Role:

We are seeking a

dedicated, patient, and experienced Support Worker

to join our team in providing

24-hour nursing-led care

for an elderly

client

living at home . The client has complex care needs, including

advanced Alzheimer's

,

severe hearing loss

, and

limited mobility

, and requires a

skilled and compassionate individual

to support him with his day-to-day needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering personal care including pad changes and washing (especially sensitive areas) with empathy and reassurance Re-positioning every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night (hoisting required - 2 carers) Support with wound care, cleaning and re-dressing sacrum pressure sore Encouraging and supporting eating and drinking (including supplements) Administering medication twice daily Supporting emotional wellbeing, managing agitation and known triggers sensitively Providing night care including personal care and repositioning Promoting and respecting his

religious beliefs

Communicating effectively using

British Sign Language (BSL)

, facial expressions, body language, and patience

Essential Requirements:

Fluent in BSL

(British Sign Language) Minimum 1 year of experience in complex care or dementia support Confident using hoisting equipment with another carer Skilled in managing challenging behaviour with a calm, respectful approach Understanding of and sensitivity to religious preferences Must be reliable, reassuring, and emotionally attuned

Preferred:

Experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer's or complex medical conditions Previous wound care experience (training can be provided)

Shift Pattern:

Day and Night shifts available

Must be flexible and willing to work as part of a 24hr care rota

Pay: 13.45-15.00 per hour
