Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of garment construction and alterations, with the ability to work with various fabrics and styles. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for performing alterations, and ensuring that all pieces meet our high standards of quality and fit.

Responsibilities

Measure clients accurately to determine the correct fit for garments. Perform alterations on a variety of clothing items, including suits, dresses, and casual wear. Repair damaged clothing by sewing or replacing buttons, zippers, and other fasteners. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available. Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and tailoring techniques to provide the best service possible.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role within the fashion industry. Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with clients effectively. Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties is advantageous. A portfolio showcasing previous work may be required for consideration.
