We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated member of Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our social club, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at weekends (days/evenings/functions). Your passion for service and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. For the right candidate we could offer career progression when our kitchen re-opens next year.
Must be over the age of 18 years to serve alcohol and be of reasonable fitness to access the cellar, stand behind the bar, reach and serve all products, move and prepare kegs/barrels, clean and tidy the premises.
Duties
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with members and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, while adhering to food safety standards.
Restock shelves and prepare barrels/kegs.
Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring all items are presented beautifully and meet quality standards, when our kitchen re-opens in the next few months.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
Maintain the cleanliness of washrooms, snooker room, outdoor seating areas, meeting rooms and lounge area.
Upsell menu items and promote functions to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills when processing payments.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Assist with enquiries, room and function bookings as well as membership applications, ensuring messages are passed on to the relevant personnel
Experience
Previous experience in a hospitality, bar or social club setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is preferable.
Experience in serving food and beverages, along with culinary knowledge, will be advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
Excellent guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.
Basic kitchen experience is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates. Join us as we create memorable experiences for our guests!
