We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various welding techniques, including mig and tig welding. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to create high-quality products, ensuring adherence to safety standards and specifications. Experience in car body repair is preferred but not essential.
candidate would need to have experience in fabrication of architectural components such as window frames, staircases etc.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform welding tasks using mig and tig welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that arise.
Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.
Requirements
Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
Proficiency in mig and tig welding; additional welding certifications are advantageous.
Familiarity with sheet metal work is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
Competence in using hand tools and power tools relevant to fabrication tasks.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
