We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wood-fired Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, specialising in authentic wood-fired pizza. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft high-quality, flavourful pizzas in a dynamic restaurant environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting wood-fired pizzas while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook wood-fired pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including dough, toppings, and sauces Operate and maintain wood-fired oven equipment safely and efficiently Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Assist with meal preparation for other menu items as required Serve food to customers in a professional and friendly manner when necessary Monitor stock levels and notify management of supply needs

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment Strong background in culinary techniques, particularly with pizza or similar dishes Experience working with wood-fired ovens is highly desirable but not essential; training can be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting preferred Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Pay: From 14.00 per hour
