Overview

J W Grant is an established builders' merchant, and we are looking for an

experienced Yard Worker

to join our busy Paisley branch.

This role is

only suitable for candidates with previous builders' merchant yard experience

who are confident handling building materials and working in a fast-paced trade and retail environment.

The Role

Serving trade and retail customers in a busy builders' merchant yard Picking orders and safely loading/unloading vehicles Handling a wide range of building materials Keeping the yard clean, organised, and secure Following health & safety procedures at all times

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working in a builders' merchant yard (essential)

Good knowledge of building materials Strong customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good understanding of health & safety in a yard environment

Desirable

Counterbalance forklift licence (or willingness to train)
