Expert Fire Door set Assembler



Due to continuous ongoing developments, exciting opportunities have arisen for individuals to join our growing team. The right candidates can expect to progress within the business as we seek to expand our public sector and specialist supply contracts.

The Role:
You will be required to work individually as well as part of a team. You will work within standard specifications to convert fire doors and their components into a finished product, dependent on the requested requirements from clients. This includes:

Constructing frames and linings

Hanging doors into frames/linings in accordance with strict tolerances

Fitting various ironmongery components according to job specifications

Ensuring all aspects of work comply with stringent certification requirements

Completing quality checks of door sets

An expert assembler should have the following skills:

Fully trained to set up & use panel saw, chop saws, routers, pallet truck & hand tools supplied

A high skill level in door set assembly

In depth knowledge of door set assembly & its components

Produce high quality door set products

A high measurable output in door set assembly

Highly skilled at cross checking prior to door set build

Accurately build door sets to reflect paperwork requirements

"Cross Over" skills to safely work in other departments

To have a positive contribution to the workplace culture

Requirements:
2 or more years carpentry/wood working experience

Or

NVQ level 2 carpentry qualification (or equivalent)

The offer:

Monthly paid earning based on 42.5 working hours per week; 07:00 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday, 06:00 - 15:00 Friday

20 days paid holidays (+ Bank holidays) per year with an additional day for each year's service completed, up to a maximum of 25 days

Permanent position with SSP and pension

14.50 - 17.00 per hour
