We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role is essential in fostering the development of children's social, emotional, and physical skills through play-based activities.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and organise age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and creativity.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, using appropriate strategies to resolve conflicts.
Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
Provide feedback to parents regarding their child's progress and behaviour in the play setting.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
A background in early childhood education or childcare qualifications would be advantageous.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or equipment as needed.
