Waterbeach After-School Play Scheme (WASPS) is a registered charity dedicated to providing high-quality childcare for children aged 4-11 years before and after school. Managed by a voluntary committee of parents and carers, our club aims to support local families with engaging and safe environments for their children.

Summary

We are seeking a Play Worker to join our team at WASPS. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for children during after-school hours. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care we provide and support the development of our young attendees.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children in play activities that promote learning and development. Create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all children. Plan and implement age-appropriate games and activities. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure positive relationships. Support the emotional and social development of each child. Maintain a clean and organized play area to ensure safety.

Requirements

Experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong leadership skills to guide play activities effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with children and parents. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. A passion for working with children and fostering their development.

Pay: 10.00-13.74 per hour
